Meet The Candidate

Christopher Middleton

Prior to embarking on his legal career, Middleton graduated from Berkeley High School in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. While in high school, he was a 4-year member of the elite AFJROTC cadet program and a standout athlete, earning state and national honors in football and wrestling. He later attended Savannah State University where he graduated cum laude with dual degrees in Mass Communication with a concentration in Public Relations & Advertising and English Literature & Language. At graduation, Middleton received the prestigious “President’s Second Mile” Award which is the university’s vaulted award given to a graduating senior who exemplifies stellar character and leadership. While attending Savannah State University, Middleton was heavily involved with various student organizations as well as the campus administration. He was later elected Chief Justice of the Student Government Association and held the position until graduation. Middleton was also a student-athlete playing defensive line and linebacker for the Savannah State University Tigers. He was a member of the defensive unit that was nationally recognized in NCAA Division II football and received the Defensive Player of the Year Award.

Christopher K. Middleton’s legal career as a founding partner of Cox, Rodman & Middleton, LLC in Savannah, Georgia, reflects his commitment to excellence in civil and criminal litigation. His dedication extends beyond his law practice, as he serves as a Judge pro tem in Chatham County’s Recorder’s Court and Juvenile Court since 2018.

With over 15 years of legal experience, Middleton has earned a sterling reputation for his professionalism, integrity, and unwavering work ethic. He attributes his strong work ethic to the remarkable example set by his mother, Martha L. Middleton, who tirelessly provided for her family as a single parent of three children.

As a proud member of the Savannah Bar Association and the Port City Bar Association, Middleton’s contributions to the legal community are significant. Moreover, his admission to practice law in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Georgia underscores his legal proficiency and dedication to serving his clients and community.

As a result of his dedication, he has been the recipient of various awards such as the prestigious Justice Benham Award from the State Bar of Georgia; 2019 Savannah Morning News Best of the Best Attorney; the Robbie Robinson Award from the Savannah Bar Association; the Leader Award from Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc; Top 100 Attorney of the Year 2023; the Speaker Award from Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc; and the Community Leader Award from Savannah Youth City, Inc.
